welcomeani.gif on this board!

Just a bit of information for you: in case you have some queries about the WTS, you can find short and simple Questions&Answers about it here! *Note that some questions/answers maybe be outdated, we are currently moving and updating them on this wiki to match WTS last version.

In case you're looking for a specific translator, please see the list of available translators on BabelZilla.
When you select the desired one, you can send him/her a P.M. or an e-mail (if and when public).

You may also insert a new Topic in the Help Section, in order to ask for specific translations, to write a general request about missing translations, etc.

Admin team can be reached via PM to Fenian, Goofy, Markh and Fux.

Polish locale released, but I have many remarks.
First of all – localize extension description.
You used 'ubiquity.commandlist.SubDetailsCommandFeeds' entity 2 times – for subscribed feeds and for unsubscribed feeds. In the Polish language, and IMHO in many another, should be different entities.
Gettext link should be localized to national Wikipedia page.
Many phrases aren't localized e.g.
 • Save your commands
 • You may now close this window
 • Save your skin
 • Your skin has been saved
 • Please set your external editor
 • [view auto-updated source]
 • [get localization templete]
 • [unsubscribe]
 • [resubscribe]
 • [purge]
 • [view source]
and many another.

@translators
Please pay attention that on end of many entities in the 'aboutubiquity.dtd' file are spaces.
Second remark.
When you upload files for tests ', <, > signs are changed by WTS to
CODE
' < >
. E.g.
CODE
<span class='version'></span>
should be
CODE

Thanks teo smile.gif

@mitcho

French version is currently under review/test, and it seems that some tags are not interpreted in the final renderance.
please have a look at the screenshot here on and

@Goofy
Change in the 'aboutubiquity.dtd' file all
CODE
< and >
to <>. This is WTS issue not Ubiquity developers. Pay attention on spaces about I inform in the previous post.

It seems it does not work with the final renderance. How did you manage exactly.
Frédéric also tested unsuccessfully replacement by & # 60 ; and & # 62 ;

For tests, must be exactly as you see e.g.:
CODE
każdy or
<!ENTITY ubiqutiy.about.UsingParagraph2Part1 "Pomóż nam subskrybując ">

Developers or our TechAdmin have to looking for proper code that kind of files.

See my picture after recode to proper tags code.

Looks nice congrats smile.gif But I am sorry I still don't understand how you managed the prob (I am goofy after all).

Would you please explain exactly the steps to reproduce.
e.g
1. did you write and directly on the wts ?
2. did you change the files offline then uploaded them again on the wts ?
3. ... ?

may thanks for any help dear friend smile.gif

Thank you all for your great contributions and help in localizing Ubiquity so far! I just wrote about you guys on my blog yesterday: http://mitcho.com/blog/projects/lets-talk-...localizers-are/

@tec, in particular, thank you for your comments. I will be working with Lech (our localization file manager) to incorporate some of those changes. In the near future we will also be adding more strings in.

Goofy,
WTS all time changed < to < and revert < to <, so final result in the downloaded file all time will be the same – %lt;. Now instructions step by step how make tests aboutubiquity.dtd file:
 • Translate strings directly in the WTS as is
 • Download files
 • Edit offline in your prefered editor (e.g. PSPad) aboutubiquity.dtd file
 • Manually (using Replace and To all function) replace <, > and ' to < > and '
 • Save file and make tests
I think Ubiquity developers without any problems write script for revert <, > and ' to proper form.

teo, I noticed you translate the words chicago and cheese in aboutubiquitytutorial.properties.

I translated them too in french, but the tutorial became unresponsived after the two steps using these two examples.
I had to revert the translation to let english words.

Did you try the tutorial ? Did it work fine ?

@teo, thanks for pointing this out. This is no problem... I can simply find/replace all the <, >, and ' in all localizations when I pull them from BabelZilla and put them in our repository. smile.gif Is there any other formatting or entities I should worry about when importing back into our repo?

Frédéric,
I'm experienced translator, aviary.pl member – Polish localization Mozilla products team, QA specialist, so I tested all files before set 'released'. smile.gif Tutorial Polish version working properly using mine translated words 'ser' and 'warsaw' instead 'chicago'. Working also using 'warszawa' instead 'warsaw'. Very important is using commands in English (should be in the Ubiquity settings set to English language if commands are absent in your language). Words 'ser' and 'warszawa' are only important for weather report service or Google. On the beginning I had some problems with tutorial tests, but it was my mistake.

Fenian, our TechAdmin, inform me that problems with coding < > and ' are temporary issues. I don't know, maybe now all is OK. Try download any locale for check out. I found only these issues. After manually correction, all working properly.

Edit: I checked download. Now all is OK. thank_you.gif Fenian.

Hi all—

I just uploaded Ubiquity 0.5.4pre3. Some entity names and strings have changed. (We the Ubiquity core developers are still learning about this process as we go... thank you in advance for your patience.)

0.5.4 is a bugfix release so we are planning to push it out without waiting for complete localizations, but we will bundle what we have at release time.

Current russian translation is a piece of #$%$. Please remove it temporary.
Almost every sentence in translation contains mistranslation, spelling or punctuational mistake!!!
