Hi all,

I've contacted rene, who 'delegate' me to manage the extension instead of him, so I've uploaded the new upcoming version of Virtual Identity.

Many thanks in advance for your contribution! biggrin.gif

Hi chuzo smile.gif

The locale folder contains a css file (logo.css). Shouldn't it be located in the skin folder ?

This is only the stylesheet for the VirtualIdentity Logo, and this includes a font description. For some languages this stylesheet has to be changed, as for instance for Chinese. Thats why it ended up in the locale folder, but usually you can leave this file as it is.

Rene

Some typos en grammatical errors in the en-US version of v_identity.dtd:
vident.prefs.commonTab.caption should say 'use following features' instead of 'use folllowing features'
vident.prefs.versionWarning.label says 'Programm' which should be 'Program', and 'to' should be 'too'
vident.prefs.vIdentityTab.fccTab.label says 'sended' which should be 'sent'
vident.prefs.smartReplyTab.Tab2.desc: 'A' should be 'At', 'dont' should be 'don't' and 'transfered' should be 'transferred'
vident.prefs.smartReply.ignoreFullname.label: 'existent' should be 'existing' (I think unsure.gif)

Excuse me, I'm localizing in Italian and I'm afraid I can't understand one line:

vident.prefs.smartReplyTab.Tab3.desc
QUOTE

At the end the filtered addresses are added to the message-identity dropdown menu. You can also select, how they are might be used as the new senders identity.

I think I caught the sense, but I'm not sure. Could you help me?

Thanks alot

Hi,

the idea is that after the second step all new (possible) virtual identites are added to the Identity Dropdown Menu of the MessageComposeDialog in Thunderbird. But now you can select, if you like to choose one of those predefined Virtual Identities as your current, selected Identity. And how to do it. Or ignore them all and just keep them in the dropdown-menu.

So maybe the English Text should be changed too:
QUOTE
You can also select, how they are might be used as the new senders identity.

should be changed in
QUOTE
Here you can choose if one of the found Identities is used as the Sender, and how this one is selected.

Is this better now?

Regards,
Rene

Hi again,

QUOTE(Underpass @ Mar 2 2007, 18:52) [snapback]26559[/snapback]

I'm realizing that the extension description is not localizable:

It should be, chuzo changed the extension that way, thanks a lot.

See: http://www.babelzilla.org/index.php?option...type=properties

Rene

You forgot to add french in chrome.manifest

upps, just adapted the install*-files, forgot the chrome.manifest. Will be done in the release, thanks for pointing me to it.
Cause there are no (other) bug-reports till now, I think I'll release the extension at the end of the next week at addons.babelzilla.org (right after the deployment of new addons.mozilla.org - see http://blog.mozilla.com/webdev/). All completed translations will be included than.

Thanks for your work,
Rene

Same goes for the nl-NL locale wink.gif

A typo in chrome.manifest:
CODE
locale    v_identity    ru-RU    jar:chrome/v_identity.jar!/locale/ko-KR/v_identity/

should be
CODE
locale    v_identity    ko-KR    jar:chrome/v_identity.jar!/locale/ko-KR/v_identity/

Hi,
the cs-CZ localization is ready in WTS. Consider it beta quality as it wasn't checked by our testers. :-)

Hi,

a week ago i uploaded the 0.4.0pre2 (with added "en-US", "es-ES", "de-DE", "fr-FR", "nl-NL", "cs-CZ", "it-IT" locales) as 0.4.0 to https://addons.mozilla.org. Couldn't really say that I released it, cause you might have noticed that this site was going to be reorganized (see http://blog.mozilla.com/webdev/) and I wasn't able to bring it on the public site.
Anyway, today I realized that the new site is online now, so Virtual Identity version 0.4.0 is released. Thanks a lot for your translations and comments,

Rene

Hi,

after retrieving some bug-reports and tips to make the extension better i created a new version, the preview is now available at http://blog.absorb.it/virtual-id/ and I'll send it to chuzo, who is maintaining the extension here. It would be really nice if you can translate the changes (the current pre-release contains english parts in all translations).

The changes are all in v_identity.dtd:
  • removed: vident.prefs.smartReply.preferHeader.label
  • added: vident.prefs.smartReply.headers.reset
  • changed: vident.prefs.smartReplyTab.Tab1.desc
    • now headers 'to' and 'cc' have to be also mentioned in the header field. option ":@" added.
  • changed: vident.prefs.smartReply.headers.desc
    • its now not important to name the header without the ':'., added example with ':@'
  • added: vident.prefs.smartReply.defaultFullname.label
  • added: vident.prefs.notificationTab.Debug.caption
  • added: vident.prefs.notifyDebug.desc
  • added: vident.prefs.notifyDebug.label

Thanks for your translations,
Rene

Hi,

thanks for the translations, great to see the dynamic, already spanish and french translations are done.
Just one note. The Debugging-Messages of the extension are mostly in english, which should be like this, cause it makes no sense to translate them, they are not meant for end-users and I'm not really the one who likes to receive a bug-report in hindi wink.gif

Thats why I suggest to change vident.prefs.notifyDebug.desc for all non-english languages to

To find bugs, solve configuration problems and understand what Virtual Identity is doing, especially with the SmartReply-filters, you can enable some additional informations. These Informations are mostly in english. Using this option slows down your mail-client, therefore it shouldn't be activated permanently.

If you think this is ok, it will be great if you can add this to your translation.

Regards,
Rene
